Previously released last year... this version has been updated with pick fingerings, a few more Scruggs riffs and some thinning-out of a few chords to make the eighth-note strums flow better...
There are only 2 modulations... one leaving the key, one coming back... There's nothing like competition to inspire the competitive spirit...
If you ever heard Jethro Burns play mandolin, you'd realize there's nothing holding you back chord-wise with 4 strings...
Jethro played on stage frequently with Chet Atkins... No fear in his beer... Jethro often employed split-string technique to get even more out of his 4...
I suppose if you were working from someone's piano score, you would find it a challenge to lose chord notes in the instrument-to-instrument conversion...
I might be wrong, but I don't think Earl Scruggs worked from piano scores...
What about the ukelele masters? Can't slow those guys down where chords are concerned...
My regret... in adding thumb strum indications to the chords, the chord names have to be staggered visually... in order to squeeze it all in...
