So I am trying to fill this dark and dreary Seattle winter with banjo music and I'm doing pretty well so far..In addition to my regular Tuesday night bluegrass jam and Saturday band practice...On Sunday nights I have the opportunity to participate in a Gypsy Jazz workshop with some phenomenal musicians. Plenty of experienced guitarists, fiddle and base players to learn from. books for guitar, fiddle. Go figure...5 string not so much. I've got the chords and can roll though them just fine. Ok with scales. Though my growth as a player I've found that when I'm learning a new type of music on the banjo (ie bluegrass, fiddle tunes, swing, etc) it's helpful for me to memorize a few examples before trying to make up my own. It would be really helpful to me to learn the heads of these tunes. I've been playing a while now so advanced arrangments are fine. If any of you have arrangments for any of these or other Django tunes that you would like to share or other advice, it would be much appreciated. Thanks. Keith
