Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp (Zeppelin) in fCFCD

Topic is archived, just felt the irrational urge to comment.

I'm one of the banjo players tainted by a past history of rock 'n' roll guitar-noodling, and have always been a rock fan first. Just now getting into old-timey and bluegrass. Also having the strong urge to arrange some tunes (whether I get to tabbing them or not).

Was just wondering if anyone had thought to toy around with Led Zeppelin's "Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp" in the fCFCD tuning? I've seen people guess Jimmy Page played in open D capoed at the third fret, but I'm placing my bets on one confident tabbers who is using (6th string to 1st) CFCFAF.

Which means it might be fun to try playing the thing in on banjo in fCFCD. Just wondering if anyone has tried it (or wants to rabidly discourage me from it)?

I'd be playing instead of typing, but I'm away from the banjo at the moment and this is the only relief!
