Where Rainbows Never Die

I've been on a Steeldrivers run for a couple of months (yeah, I know they've been around for a while, just slow I guess).  Really enjoy Chris Stapleton's voice, and do realize that he's no longer with them; also like the bluesy feel to a lot of their stuff and find it fairly unique.  Richard Bailey is a joy to listen to; he throws all kinds of things into the songs.  Have watched and listened the videos to this song quite a bit.  It's a very interesting song, with blues and old time spiritual hint to its bluegrass.

I realize that both he and Chris are playing a repeated phrase through most of the song, except for a part of the chorus and the bridge.  The videos haven't quite given me a good enough vantage to see exactly what Richard is doing.  Looks like he starts it in D with a open 4th string, then frets the 4th string at the 4th fret, slides up two frets then an additional one.  Not sure what he's doing on the chorus other than descending chords over a reverse roll, and not quite sure what he's doing on the bridge, but sounds like fairly simple patterns over the chord shapes.

Any help will be most appreciated,

Steve
