I thought people might like to know that the music notation software MuseScore v2.0 which has just been released can now handle tablature. MuseScore is donationware: you simply make a voluntary donation.
As well as banjo tablature, it can produce guitar tablature and even Renaissance lute tablature.
It is also useful if you want to create an arrangement with multiple instruments like a banjo tablature with music notation for the fiddle, mandolin or guitar chords on the same page.
