Tab question

Background; I'm about 15 months in and have been using the Murphy Method so I have no experience with TAB. However i jam with others and just have to learn one of my favorites in our jam as it is FUN to play along with and I'd love to take a break to it in a jam setting.

The song is Clinch Mountain Backstep. I printed TAB from the hangout and at the end of parts A and B there is a bracketed section called one and another called 2. What is the significance of the 1 and 2? My guess is that part A and B are each played through twice before moving to the next part and bracket section 1 is for the first time and bracket section 2 is for the second time serves as the transition from part A to B or from part B back to part A or Part B to the ending licks?

Is this correct or is there another reason for the bracketed sections at the ends of those parts?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
