After a very long layoff, I will be playing banjo again. So, I will need to brush up on some of Earl Scrugg's classic banjo tunes. I will appreciate reading the names of sources of quality tabulatures. I would like several versions of each tune. Being able to buy specific tunes would help. I am familiar with most melodies, so recordings would not be a must. I remember lots of the tunes I played, but know I will have problems with some tunes.
I looked for some of the tab books I used to use. They don't seem to exist any longer. One of my favorite books used to be a white spiral bound book with a dozen of Earl's most popular tunes. It also had recordings - a cassette. I had 4 or 5 books by Geoff Hohwald. As you have probably guessed, I really haven't played in a very long time. I will have to crawl around in and find out if those old books are still stored somewhere, but I doubt it. Over time I used lots of different banjo books.
