It's currently not possible to open Guitar Pro 5 .gp5 files in TablEdit you need to get WG2T it's a TablEdit AdOn \WG2T.exe which converts .gp5 files to .tef files and is available from the TablEdit website. I believe Guitar Pro 6 .gpx files will load/import directly into the latest version of TablEdit
