5th string tuner problems

Hello community! I'm having some problems with the 5th string tuner of my banjo.
Yesterday I was tuning that string at suddenly it went backwards a couple of tones. So I tried to tighten up but again the same thing. I took the string off the instrument after try a couple of times and I started to look carefully to the peg. It seems like the metal thing where the string is attached it gets stucked after two entire revolutions, always at the same spot doesn't matter if I move the tuner clockwise or counter clockwise. I will say that it looks more like a bit displaced more than stuck, because if I move it with my finger starts to rotate again, but just till the two revolutions complete again. Does somebody here knows who can I fix this thing? Small detail is that I'm in Slovenia so no banjo tech around and I have to fix it for tomorrow!
