Not that I yearn for the rhinestones and such (Porter Wagoner, Webb Pierce, Hank Thompson et al), but there's something about many of today's performers that I don't care for, and that's getting on stage with grubby tee shirts and jeans. Many top performers simply adopted good looking wardrobes as part of being a professional entertainer and respecting the audience. Exemptions of course for performing at outdoor jams and festivals, but you get the idea. Just sounding off a bit on a pet peeve of mine. Actually I am surprised that they simply don't take enough pride in themselves to dress better. Maybe it's a Willie thing. And I have been a Willie fan since the 60's. But he abandoned the well dressed look a long time ago. Might have been part of that outlaw image he had going with Waylon and the boys. I'm done with my Sunday rant - thanks for listening.
