Hi all-Every year, at the beginning of the school year, we celebrate the International Day of Peace. I teach my elementary students (and willing teachers) and song and we all sing it together. It's awfully sweet.
I am racking my brain for a new song (last year we sang "If I Had a Hammer"). There are thousands of songs out there, but I was hoping some of you would chime in with your favorites. I don't need the tab or chords-unless you have it. But I'd love some new ideas.
I want to play my banjo rather than guitar because It's important to me that the kids see me playing. After all, I want to see more banjo players in the future. But, I have to start learning a song now so I can play and direct the kiddos.
