Lots of Excellent Tabs - With Midi Files

Banjo Ben is offering a tab book with 99 tunes on one of his websites.  Most tunes are commonly played, and are advanced enough to sound good in a jam.  This morning I looked at some of the tabs and listened to some mp3 files.  I think this book will benefit players wanting to learn tunes and/or licks.  He is selling a book with 99 tunes for $10.00.  That is cheap.  I have been gathering tabs lately, and have not seen any deal the beats this.

I just browsed "banjo ben + tabs + 99 tunes".  Once I got into the website, I sampled some tabs and MP3 files and immediately decided to get the material.  Now I won't have to spend as much time looking for tabs.

CREATION SINGS

Hey friends--I'm looking for some help figuring something out.  Recently picked up a CD featuring songs written by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend.  CREATION SINGS is included; it has great lyrics and a very catchy melody.  Stuart has a YouTube video where he's in the studio singing and playing banjo.  Appears he's playing without finger picks.  He has musicians playing fiddle, drums, piano, bass and penny whistle.  Really fun recording and looks like it would be fun to learn.  Stuart's picking pattern looks fairly simple and repetitive; reminds me of what Chris Stapleton does on WHERE RAINBOWS NEVER DIE where chris sings the melody around a repetitive guitar lick.  I just can't quite figure out how to capture Stuart's sound.  He's capoed up three to an open Bb and he's really not fretting that much.  Kinda has a reverse roll or semi-melodic circular feel, but just not getting it.  Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,

Steve

Hey All - its time for a new tune.  Does anyone have an easyish/intermediate CH tab for a more contemporary song.  Maybe a rock/R&B/folk song from the 60s or 70s?  Thanks!

In Memory of Leonard Cohen - Suzanne (CH)

Leonard Cohen has entered my life at several times since the 60s. He died on November 7 and left quite a legacy of music and writings. My wife saw him on his last concert tour in an appearance in Louisville in 2013. It was a very moving experience for her, and we have had his music around the house since then. Here is a humble offfering of clawhammer tab of "Suzanne," in 1966.
