Lost Label

This tune has been rattling around the bottom of my brain for so long it's lost its label. Does anyone know what it's called? It's an Irish reel, played by Boys of the Lough, amongst others. The gDGBE tuning seemed to be the best one for it, to avoid whipping up and down the fingerboard, so, although it is melodic style, it isn't more than Intermediate in difficulty.

Tab with Audio

I uploaded a tab to the archive that includes two different breaks by Earl. One from the Martha White TV Show DVD, vol. #2, and one from the old Mercury Records Recording. It's interesting to see the differences. He slides into a full "D chord shape" on the Mercury recording, and on the TV show he uses the "half D shape" and while holding that position uses his left pinky to fret the 4th string at the 5th fret for a melody note. The tabs are mostly transcriptions except where I couldn't hear some notes well.

While watching the TV Show DVD I noticed something I hadn't before. Earl starts the song with capo up 2 (key of A) then later while the Dobro is taking a break, Earl removes the capo and plays backup for the remainder of the song uncapoed. This gives him some lower position licks not possible with a capo on.

Hi All,

I am drowning in the "need new tunes" department faster than I can crank out originals...Does anyone have tabs for the following fiddle tunes that I regularly bump up against?

Angus Campbell (D)

Schaeffer's Lumber Wagon (D)

Walk in the Irish Rain (D)

Kitchen Girl (A/AM)   ...only need the B part for this one

If not, no worries: I hope I turned you towards a great tune that you never heard of before. YouTube has plenty of audio samples.

Better Dig Two

I was wondering if anyone has Better Dig Two by the band Perry tabs.  I have it worked out, but use a capo on the 5th fret to get the begining down good.  On the video, he's not using one, so I think I've learned it wrong. So I have the intro down good, but I'm not sure what rolls to do throughout the song.  So maybe I should learn it without the capo if anyone has the tabs.   Thank you!

Has anyone ever tackled Greenland Whale Fisheries, particularly Bill Dempsey's version from his excellent Shanty Man album? I've been trying to work this out by ear (can usually get things pretty well) but so far haven't figured it out. Not even sure of the tuning. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Here's the tabs for Dark Hollow and Jenny Lynn

Hey everyone I'm new to this site. My names Mike, I'm fairly new to banjo but I've been playing guitar for 6 years. So its pretty easy other than getting used to all the music theory for clawhammer. I'm still getting it down, but I'm getting better. I love civil war songs, but I can't seem to find the ones I'm looking for. I was wondering if anybody can help me find the tabs for these songs. also i have no idea what the tunings are for these songs so i would love if someone can help me on what they are.
