OK - I'm not a Jack Baker. But I have worked out a few breaks and tabs and posted them here. But they are what I would consider "legitimate" tabs. By that I mean it's something that the average picker might enjoy learning and playing. Jam acceptable if you will.
Lately there seems to be a proliferation of tabs that are 3 or 4 measures long, done in text, and while they might be "cute", they aren't really anything that I would consider classifiying as a true tab.
Don't misunderstand me. I don't want this taken the wrong way. Those who submit these kinds of "tabs" have done a little work, figured out how to pick something, and then felt it fell under the classification of tab, and posted it. No harm in doing that, but maybe it should be called a "mini tab" or something that would distinguish it from a substantial break or song.
Not sure how this could be done, but clicking on links to a text tab of a few measures is something that I am sure a certain number of members wouldn't do if they were able to tell ahead of time how abbreviated the tab was.
Any way to break out the tabs to put these "minis" in their own little category??
