Hi, looking for the tab for this and came across this archived link

 /forum-archive/6/237304/1.htm

These links don't seem to work any more.

Or actually - what I"m really looking for i guess is a couple of wee fill in licks. Playing in key D, and going from D to A at ... I'd watch the trains as they roll by... and after the end of the verse on  D, going to G for the chorus

Any ideas?

Moocho Thankyoos

Hiya,

Anyone know what the name of this tune is. I'd imagine there's a few tabs to it, as it lends itself beautifully to banjo I reckon,

Bless Your Soul - The Bones Of J.R. Jones

Hi, I'm trying to figure out a tab for this song

Live version 1 --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydt8fC31HPg

Live version 2 (this one has a different and more stable viewing angle) --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhtqHmwJ6DY

Studio version --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5duVYB_-q0

Until now, I've worked out the following details:

1) It's in standard tuning (or possibly one or two steps down), with a capo on the 7th fret (duh)

2) Main chord is Dm

3) First part is Dm (00233) and 03233

4) The riff built around Dm is 00233  --> 03233 (with hammer on) --> 02233 --> 0023

5) The following chord looks like a barre on the first three strings, while the fourth one is fretted at the 5th fret

I know, it's not much, but I've only been playing for about a month...

In particular, I need help with the picking/strum pattern (or at least the gist of it, since it looks/sounds kinda complicated) and the riff built around the second chord (the barre one - should be something like 5th to 3rd fret on the first string, then 5th on the second one, and maybe 3rd fret again on the first string). Also, if I missed any chords/subtleties you're welcome to share them :)

Any ideas?

Sorry for the abundance of parentheses and thanks a lot in advance! ;)

Hey All - has anyone ever tabbed out Dead Flowers (Rolling Stones) or Friend of the Devil (Grateful Dead) in CH?  The chord structure doesn't look too complicated.  I can pick out the opening to Friend of the Devil but after the descending scale I get a little lost.  Any tabs, tips or otherwise productive advise is greatly appreciated!

Has anyone lobbied for this? I would like to now. So many people use this powerful program and the sharing of knowledge and answering of questions could be a great feature to BHO. So I hereby make a motion to create a Tabledit Users Group. Second anyone??

Chord Discovery In Tabledit

Just discovered a new thing to see the chords accurately in Tabledit. Not sure if seeing chord letters is author dependent but you can always look. The chord diagram thing is basically useless, so forget the file / options area where you can check boxes or uncheck for them. Instead, go to the Main Menu in Tabledit and click on Display. Then look on the bottom and click on Guitar then check out the tablature again. You might just see letters for the chords for each measure. It has helped me in figuring out the chords in order to create a backing track in BIAB. Then you can jump back to see the banjo tab the same way - via the Display tab in the main menu.

Thanks to Hans Holzherr and Jack Baker for help interpreting tabs and walking me through this. They are not only great musicians but patient tutors as well.

We'll Meet Again Someday - Feedback please

I just sat down and tabbed the intro to 'We'll Meet Again Sweetheart' from 'The Essential Earl Scruggs' album.

This is my first attempt at listening by ear and transcribing it to tab. Could you all give it a go, and tell me if I could improve what I have so far? It's pretty difficult for me because I am hard of hearing, but it feels pretty good.

Hi Guy's

It's currently not possible to open Guitar Pro 5 .gp5 files in TablEdit you need to get WG2T it's a  TablEdit AdOn \WG2T.exe which converts .gp5 files to .tef files and is available from the TablEdit website. I believe Guitar Pro 6 .gpx files will load/import directly into the latest version of TablEdit

Hello / Lonesome River Band

This tab should be a real treat for some of you pickers back in the late 80's. Before Sammy Shelor became the face of the Lonesome River Band, there was a banjo player by the name of Randy Driskill who held down the banjo chair for L.R.B. for a spell. Randy 's playing on this tune, titled simply, HELLO (cut in 1987 I believe) has as bouncy a drive as any break i have ever heard! His right hand is perfect on this.You need to listen to the whole tune to really appreciate Randy's musicianship on it, as well as the rest of the band.I remember seeing him years ago  all the time at the Amelia Bluegrass Festival . Just watching the guy play was a real treat. At any rate, this is the opening break to the tune.The notes are there, even if its not exactly the way Randy played it. have fun!

I have a request to play Cannon in D for a wedding. I am looking for banjo tab for it. I found a website that showed two versions, one in D and another in G, but when I click on the pdf, it gives me an error message. Anyone have a tab for this?
